About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards, reports, and data visualizations
- Lead data analytics use cases from requirements gathering and solution design through development, testing, deployment, and customer adoption
- Partner with customers to understand business challenges and translate requirements into technical solutions
- Perform exploratory data analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and operational improvement opportunities
- Support development and optimization of data pipelines, transformations, and analytical datasets
- Design and maintain scalable data models and workflows for business intelligence and advanced analytics
- Coordinate use case activities, priorities, timelines, and deliverables
- Communicate progress, risks, and recommendations
- Ensure data quality, accuracy, performance, and usability
- Present analytical findings, dashboard demonstrations, and technical recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences
- Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, software developers, and business stakeholders
- Identify opportunities to leverage automation, AI, and reusable components
- Support teammates across technical and functional areas
Requirements
What you’ll need- Advanced proficiency in at least one of Tableau, Qlik, or Power BI, with ability to learn additional platforms
- Hands-on experience with Databricks, including data preparation, transformation, analysis, and pipeline development
- Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and PySpark
- Experience with data lakes, data warehouses, data modeling, and modern data architectures
- Intermediate-level analytics project management experience
- Ability to independently lead a use case, coordinate activities, manage priorities, and deliver results
- Experience engaging directly with customers to gather requirements and translate business needs into analytical solutions
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and willing to learn new technologies, tools, and business domains
- Collaborative, team-first mindset
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- B.S. in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field
- Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in data engineering, analytics, business intelligence, or a related field
- Must have or be willing to obtain Secret Clearance; this requires US Citizenship
- Must successfully pass a drug test and background screen
- Desired: experience with multiple visualization platforms, Microsoft Azure, enterprise data platforms, Delta Lake, medallion architecture, modern data lakehouse practices, reusable analytical solutions, automated data workflows, Generative AI, AI-assisted analytics tools, Department of Defense/sustainment/logistics/industrial operations analytics, mentoring, and technical leadership
