About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as the primary liaison between assigned teams and the Accounting Department
  • Build working relationships with Client Execs and other key team members
  • Manage team billing and accounts receivable monitoring
  • Assist with project initiation and setup in Vision
  • Ensure commercial contract terms and contacts are accurate
  • Review new project contracts for unusual billing-related terms or structures
  • Request and review billing information for accuracy and completeness
  • Prepare monthly client billings for team projects
  • Monitor team accounts receivable and follow up on unpaid amounts
  • Manage client communication and correspondence regarding commercial matters
  • Review and approve timesheets and expense reports
  • Enter sub consultant invoices, track payment terms, and approve invoices for payment
  • Meet with assigned teams at their primary office location at least twice a year
  • Maintain confidentiality of corporate, personnel, and project/client materials

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 2-year post-high school education
  • Experience in the engineering and/or construction industry is preferred
  • Prior billing experience and knowledge of Deltek-Vantagepoint or similar software is preferred but not required
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong bookkeeping background
  • Customer service abilities and attitude
  • General understanding of electronic billing
  • Ability to read contracts and follow contract requirements regarding commercial terms
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft and MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to travel up to 10% with occasional overnight stays
  • Sponsorship is not available
