About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Respond to and resolve escalated medical and safety information inquiries from consumers, healthcare professionals, and external customers
- Compose and update standard response documents and obtain Medical, Legal, and Regulatory approval
- Research and write custom medical information responses
- Support development of medical information SOPs
- Provide labeled and unlabeled efficacy, safety, and scientific information in accordance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
- Identify, document, and report adverse events, special situation events, and product complaints to Pharmacovigilance
- Review and confirm eligibility for clinical trial programs and connect patients or caregivers with appropriate trial contacts
- Create medical materials for patients, healthcare providers, and population health decision makers
- Participate as a medical reviewer in Promotional Review Committee and Medical Review Committee activities
- Support clinical operations across ImmunityBio’s oncology portfolio
- Document, triage, and fulfill medical information inquiries
- Troubleshoot medical information database vendor issues
- Generate medical information metrics and reports
- Adhere to privacy and data protection policies
- Perform other assigned activities
Requirements
What you’ll need- An advanced scientific degree (PharmD, MD, or PhD) required
- 2+ years of industry experience in a pharmaceutical Medical Affairs setting required
- 2+ years of Medical Information and Medical Communication Operations experience required
- Experience with Veeva Vault Promomats is strongly preferred
- Experience with medical information databases is strongly preferred
- Professional experience in call center operations, Medical Information Inquiry tracking, Standard Response Letter writing, and medical operations policies required
- Prior experience in Oncology is a plus
- Knowledge of HIPPA and other federal guidelines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Working knowledge of medical terminology, pathophysiology, pharmacology, regulations and industry standards
- Customer-service orientation for speaking with patients and caregivers interested in clinical trials
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
- Ability to communicate, collaborate, and deliver work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to multi-task and shift priorities under tight deadlines
- Proficient in Microsoft Office computer applications
