About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Build and maintain warehouse models using BigQuery, Dataform, and dbt
- Write and review models, commit changes, and run releases
- Maintain marketing and sales data pipelines, including platform connectors
- Ensure new ad accounts and products land correctly in the warehouse
- Own product and brand mapping and fix mismatches at the source
- Investigate discrepancies from ad platforms through raw tables, transformed models, and reports
- Build and maintain Looker Studio reporting, including data sources, calculated fields, and access
- Build data quality checks and alerts
- Reconcile numbers against external systems and partners
- Document metric definitions such as active subscription, active customer, and churn
- Answer Media Buying, Finance, and Operations questions using supporting queries
- Perform other assigned tasks
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Analytics, Data Science, or a related field
- Excellent SQL skills, including joins and window functions
- Ability to troubleshoot queries and identify discrepancies in results
- Hands-on knowledge of cloud data warehouses, preferably BigQuery
- Familiarity with dbt and Dataform, including Git-based workflows
- Solid understanding of data modeling, including dimensional modeling and consistent, reusable metric definitions
- Proficiency with BI tools such as Looker Studio or Power BI
- Exposure to marketing or e-commerce data is a strong advantage
- Knowledge of data quality checks and alerting is a strong advantage
- Strong attention to detail and persistence in tracing numbers back to their source
- Ability to communicate findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders
- Excellent written and spoken English
