About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Drive and support client acquisition for ImpactAssets’ impact investment advisory, donor-advised fund, and broader impact investing platform
- Understand prospective clients’ philanthropic, investment, governance, and long-term impact objectives and help develop aligned proposals
- Qualify inbound and emerging opportunities and guide prospects through next steps with senior relationship leads
- Develop proposals, strategic memos, and client presentations
- Collaborate across ImpactAssets and IA Capital on business development hand-offs, onboarding, and client transitions
- Own and manage a pipeline of emerging prospects across foundations, RIAs, family offices, and other target segments
- Advance opportunities through qualification, proposal development, internal coordination, and select independent closing responsibilities
- Maintain accurate CRM records of prospect interactions, referral relationships, and pipeline activity
- Provide pipeline and market updates, including client activity, referral trends, competitive intelligence, and field insights
- Qualify and manage RFP responses and maintain reusable RFP content
- Cultivate referral relationships with wealth advisors, philanthropic advisors, and ecosystem partners
- Collaborate with Marketing on events, campaigns, and initiatives
- Partner across internal teams to ensure a coordinated prospect and client acquisition/onboarding experience
- Lead or support project-based work as needed
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum 5 years of experience in business development, fundraising, investor relations, philanthropy advisory, or institutional sales within investment management, wealth advisory, private markets, philanthropy, or impact investing
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Demonstrated experience advancing new client acquisition efforts and managing relationship-driven pipelines
- Experience contributing to closed opportunities or asset growth across family offices, foundations, corporations, RIAs, or ultra-high-net-worth individuals
- Experience managing a pipeline, tracking investor interactions, and navigating multi-stakeholder philanthropic or investment decision processes
- Fluency with private markets and impact investment strategies across asset classes
- Familiarity with impact investing, values-aligned investment strategies, DAFs, and philanthropic capital
- Strong understanding of the impact investment landscape, investment advisory services, client relationship dynamics, and regulatory context
- Demonstrated ability to leverage AI and automation tools for prospect research, market intelligence, meeting preparation, personalized outreach, pipeline management, and workflow efficiency
- Ability to create and deliver audience-tailored presentations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Proficiency with cloud-based collaboration tools such as Box and Asana preferred
- Ability to work independently, multitask, and prioritize competing demands
- Experience working in a virtual environment preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge and interest in leveraging capital for social and environmental impact
