About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Ingest and quality control camera tracks and matchmoves from outsource vendors
  • Ingest and process lidar material, such as photogrammetry or point clouds, into geometry for camera track alignment
  • Attend track brief meetings as a technical advisor
  • Answer and solve questions from outsource vendors and skill supervisors
  • Create in-house camera tracks and object/character matchmoves
  • Maintain close communication with coordinators and production managers
  • Follow studio pipelines, naming conventions, and technical standards
  • Communicate shot progress and potential issues to supervisors and production
  • Take feedback and iterate quickly while maintaining a high standard of work
  • Ingest lens grid packages and other vendor files

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Ideally, experience with 3D Equalizer, Maya, Reality Capture
  • Basic knowledge of Nuke and Houdini
  • Strong understanding of camera tracking, object/character matchmoves, lens information, and 3D space
  • Excellent eye for detail and a methodical approach to problem-solving
  • Ability to identify and resolve tracking issues in challenging footage
  • Good understanding of how tracking data is used by downstream departments
  • Ability to work efficiently under deadlines and manage multiple shots
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to learn and improve
