About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform age-appropriate histories and virtual examinations
- Evaluate, diagnose, recommend treatment plans, and document findings accurately and promptly
- Deliver high-quality patient care while maintaining safety
- Document medical information and review patient history at each visit
- Request consultations or referrals when appropriate
- Counsel and educate patients
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests
- Evaluate, triage, and manage pediatric and adult patients for acute care
- Manage chronic disease and mental health conditions
- Maintain knowledge of current medical research and trends
- Provide administrative support or cross-coverage for reviewing laboratory results
- Work collaboratively with provider and support teams
- Report to the Medical Director of Urgent Care
- Work required weekday evening, weekend, and holiday shifts
Requirements
What you’ll need- Board-certified physician
- Completion of a 3-year Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine residency
- At least 3 years of post-residency experience in a fast-paced Urgent Care or Primary Care outpatient setting
- Active ABMS or AOA Board Certification in Family Medicine or dual-boarded Internal Medicine + Pediatrics
- Completion of U.S. Medical Licensing Examination
- Eligible for the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLCC)
- Active and unrestricted state medical license in at least one state
- Residing in an IMLC state
- Experience and comfort providing care for all ages, from newborn to adult populations
- Ability to function within an integrated medical practice
- Extensive breadth of clinical expertise
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrable proficiency with technology
- Must not be under current exclusion or sanction by any state or federal health care program
- Must maintain Medicare active status
- Scheduling flexibility including evenings and weekends
- Physical ability to remain seated for prolonged periods and operate computer equipment
- Ability to occasionally lift about 20 lbs. of force
