About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Report to the Supervisor, Claims
- Investigate, evaluate, and settle insurance claims
- Determine policy coverage for claimed losses and appropriate compensation amounts
- Work closely with veterinary hospitals and policyholders to evaluate and review pets’ medical histories to determine a baseline of health
- Investigate and process assigned insurance claims
- Verify coverage and compensation amounts according to insurance policies
- Update Explanation of Benefits (EOB), pay, and close claims
- Order medical records from providers as needed
- Communicate with clients and providers during treatment as needed
- Perform other assigned duties and responsibilities
Requirements
What you’ll need- 1 year relevant experience working in a veterinary clinic
- Associate’s Degree or equivalent work experience (one-year relevant experience is equivalent to one year college), or Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT), or Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT)
- Must have flexible availability as the department is open 24 hours a day and 7 days a week
- Only United States residents will be considered for this role
