About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Join Pumpkin’s Experience team as a Senior Product Designer in a high-velocity product pod
Collaborate with Product Managers and Engineers to envision and scale the wellness membership club
Create compelling experiences that communicate the value of preventive veterinary care and everyday wellness practices
Lead initiatives end-to-end from discovery, inception, and validation through build, launch, and insight-driven iteration
Partner with wellness pod leads to align product vision, goals, and iterations with pet-parent and business needs
Understand the end-to-end pet owner journey across preventive care, accidents, and illnesses
Balance annual goals, quarterly initiatives, and sprint plans against high-level objectives
Advocate for pet parents and veterinarians and elevate customer experience through cross-functional collaboration
Adapt design methods and fidelity to problem scope and complexity
Build scalable experiences within shared design systems and patterns
Use metrics and user insights to validate solutions and continuously learn
Prototype with Figma, Cursor, Claude, Adobe Creative Suite, and low/no-code platforms
Adopt emerging technology, AI tools, and automated workflows while balancing privacy and craft
Build and demonstrate prototypes to identify better paths in the pet insurance space

Requirements

What you’ll need

5+ years of experience in UX, product design, and/or product-adjacent front-end development
Proven experience designing successful digital products with a focus on user experience, conversion rate optimization (CRO), and growth/purchase funnels
Ability to gather actionable insights efficiently without overly rigid research processes
High proficiency with modern design tools and design systems
Strong desire to adopt AI integrations and low/no-code tools
Demonstrated ability to inspire, collaborate with, and communicate effectively across engineering, product, and business stakeholders
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and presentation skills
Strong command of, and willingness to embrace, new design/product software and technology
Knowledge of growth, purchase funnel, and CVR optimization best practices
Prior work, background, or volunteer experience in the pet, veterinary, or health/wellness space
Active involvement or thought leadership within the design and product community
A strong professional network within tech or design
Genuine love of animals
