About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Work with the IT Lead and Sr. Developer to create and modify technological processes based on business analysis
Assist the Technical Shared Services team in improving current processes, implementing new products, and automating solutions
Engage with business operations owners to determine and operationalize technical requests
Develop technical specifications and technical project plans
Provide regular feedback on project progress
Develop and maintain technical solutions that meet business needs
Demonstrate analytical, technical, and development skills
Ensure coding standards meet efficiency and performance standards
Manage testing of system functions and data accuracy with business SMEs
Prepare technical specifications, training, and system documentation
Provide on-site monitoring for application of IT concepts and perform quality assurance checks
Translate customer needs into technical requirements and manage revisions
Address customer information requests and follow up promptly
Ensure testing and data accuracy/integrity and customer understanding
Understand departmental business objectives and develop appropriate solutions
Evaluate and recommend application systems, interfaces, and reports
Follow Release Management, Application Lifecycle Management, and Change Management methodologies
Maintain documentation, backout procedures, and system/data integrity while minimizing business impact
Create and analyze reports to provide feedback, identify trends, and support business strategy
Ensure minimum necessary access, proper authentication/authorization, and data encryption

Requirements

What you’ll need

Associate degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
An additional two (2) years of experience will be considered in lieu of degree
Three (3) years of experience designing and developing software with the ability to design and implement reusable objects required
Experience with developing .NET web applications, SQL programming language/query/reporting/scripting/access database conversions, SSRS, SSIS and various programming languages and tools preferred
Experience working with healthcare data, ANSI X12 and HIPAA standard formats preferred
Experience supporting business applications required
Experience with File Transfer Protocols, scripting, encryption and SSH
Working knowledge of Linux, Windows Server, and network configurations
Solid understanding of System Development Life Cycle methodology
Experience with AWS, SharePoint, Salesforce, or Tidal is a plus
Understanding of project management and Agile Methodology
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to gather, comprehend and document technical requirements
Ability to maintain confidentiality and assume accountability
Proven examples of displaying Nova’s Core 4: Act with Passion, Work Together, Be Accountable, Build Trust
