About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead logistics, transportation, and fulfillment functions for efficient, compliant, and cost-effective delivery operations
- Oversee team performance, operational execution, service quality, and workforce management
- Partner with pharmacy and operations leaders to align workflows and optimize fulfillment strategies
- Oversee vendor relationships, shipping performance, compliance adherence, issue resolution, and logistical operations
- Communicate operational updates, priorities, and expectations
- Manage daily workflow, schedules, staffing assignments, and workload distribution
- Address performance and attendance concerns
- Coach, mentor, and develop team members
- Ensure pharmacy workflow processes comply with pharmacy regulations and accreditation standards
- Resolve operational and pharmacy issues to limit patient or customer disruption
- Maintain patient records and delivery logs
- Provide reports to finance and leadership on delivery cost-reduction strategies
- Create delivery routes, train drivers, and monitor vehicle maintenance and cleanliness
- Monitor workload, progress notes, call analysis, and driver volume
- Follow up on delivery issues, shipping methods, tracking, exceptions, retrieval, and documentation
- Implement cross-training for pharmacy personnel
- Manage shipment exceptions, investigate root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions
- Track and follow up on replacements
- Maintain technical knowledge of contracts, benefits, policies, procedures, and operational software
- Assist with pharmacy audits and support Patient Care Specialists and pharmacy and operations teams
- Apply conflict resolution to help patients understand policies and procedures
- Ensure HIPAA compliance with order preparation and shipping
Requirements
What you’ll need- Associate's degree required; an additional two (2) years of experience will be considered in lieu of degree
- Four (4) years of pharmacy technician experience in a high-volume pharmacy or logistics experience required
- Experience in a specialty pharmacy or mail order pharmacy preferred
- One (1) year of progressive leadership/management responsibility required
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and work cross functionally
- Leadership skills including training, coaching, listening and conflict management
- Ability to apply problem-solving methodology to logistical problems and service schedules
- Ability to research and utilize novel platforms to aid in problem solving
- Excellent analytical and process management skills
- Proven examples of displaying the Reliance values: Collaborative, Accessible, Results-Oriented, Empowering, and Supportive
- Must be able to work without immigration or work visa sponsorship
