About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Oversee and manage client, vendor, and other business contracts and agreements
  • Capture, define, and understand PBD business needs and ensure those needs are represented in contracts and agreements
  • Draft, review, negotiate, and facilitate execution of contracts and agreements
  • Liaise between PBD business units, Independent Health legal department, outside legal counsel, and vendors
  • Conduct state and federal regulatory research and monitoring
  • Prepare, file, and manage business registrations and licenses
  • Research and monitor PBM regulations and business requirements
  • Complete and facilitate initial and renewal license and registration applications
  • Develop and maintain compliance tracking and monitoring processes
  • Facilitate and oversee contracting processes for RFPs, ASAs, amendments, vendor agreements, rebate contracts, pharmacy and network contracts, and software licenses
  • Maintain contract-term tracking, performance metrics, policies, procedures, and documentation
  • Communicate needs, status, and performance metrics to key stakeholders

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree required; an additional four (4) years of experience will be considered in lieu of degree
  • Paralegal Studies degree preferred
  • Five (5) years of experience in corporate/vendor contract management and negotiations, regulatory and/or compliance research and monitoring required
  • Experience with self-funded group health plans preferred
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, time management and organizational skills
  • Detail oriented, while maintaining an awareness of overall goals
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced fluid environment
  • Advanced computer and Windows skills required
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications and ability to learn new software applications
  • Immigration or work visa sponsorship will not be provided
