About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide assistance to pharmacies and internal servicing representatives with pharmacy issues
  • Address and resolve issues regarding reimbursement and proper utilization of policies and procedures
  • Coordinate resolutions to streamline processes through pharmacy education
  • Achieve service levels of 75% (80% for Medicare calls)
  • Increase pharmacist satisfaction rates
  • Function as a pharmacy advocate
  • Assist with entry of prior authorization
  • Support pharmacy department projects and assignments
  • Assist with training new pharmacy help desk representatives

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School diploma or GED required; Associates degree preferred
  • One (1) year of customer service/call center operations experience including six (6) months of pharmacy experience required; OR pharmacy tech certification required
  • General knowledge of drug names, therapeutic categories, dosage forms, manufacturers and packaging
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and problem-solving skills
  • Capability to absorb new concepts
  • PC and Windows experience, including typing skills
  • Familiarity with online claim systems preferred
  • Math aptitude for calculating simple drug requirements using dosing and price calculations
  • Proven examples of displaying the IH values: Passionate, Caring, Respectful, Trustworthy, Collaborative and Accountable
  • Occasional holidays, weekends, overtime and on-call responsibilities required
  • Must be authorized to work without employer-provided immigration or work visa sponsorship
