About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Plan technical setups for studio, on-site and hybrid events
  • Anticipate technical risks and solve problems before and during productions
  • Prepare plans, budgets, equipment requirements and documentation
  • Coordinate with internal teams, customers, freelancers and suppliers
  • Participate hands-on in productions and technical operations
  • Improve studio architecture and ways of working
  • Take ownership of technical production in important events
  • Translate 3D designs and client wishes into workable technical plans
  • Lead the team bringing technical plans to life
  • Place customer needs first in technical decisions

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years experience in live production, broadcasting, streaming, events or a similar technical environment
  • Strong general technical understanding and ability to see how technical components work together
  • Understanding of the whole production chain
  • Ability to plan practical solutions based on real production experience
  • Ability to anticipate potential problems early
  • Ability to take ownership and move work forward without guidance
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to explain and justify technical choices to technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Willingness to improve ways of working
  • Willingness to participate hands-on in production
  • Fluent English and Finnish skills
  • Experience or knowledge with vMix, Madmapper, Lightkey, Companion or other software-based AV tools
  • Knowledge of AVoIP protocols such as NDI, Dante, ArtNet and OSC
  • Knowledge of PTZ systems, audio systems and automation
  • Knowledge of production networking
  • Knowledge of LED volumes and vision mixing
  • Knowledge of WebRTC, RTMP and streaming platforms
