About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Assist guests with general information and directions
  • Direct patients, visitors, staff, and others to appropriate parking areas
  • Conduct on-foot/electric scooter parking enforcement throughout parking lots
  • Monitor compliance with parking regulations and address unauthorized or improperly parked vehicles
  • Take ownership and leadership of parking operations for assigned locations while abiding by Indigo standards and norms
  • Assist customers in person and remotely with automated parking equipment
  • Complete and assist with minor equipment repairs
  • Maintain cleanliness of parking equipment
  • Clean work and parking areas, including key sanitization, litter pickup, wiping touch points, and dusting
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures
  • Perform other assigned tasks

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • High level of interpersonal skills, including poise and diplomacy
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Previous customer service experience
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to customer service
  • Ability to work with little supervision
  • Ability to work in an outdoor environment
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs
  • Ability to use basic hand tools and power tools for making repairs
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
  • Employment conditional on successfully passing a criminal record check
  • Successful candidates required to submit a Criminal Background and Driver abstract check
  • Additional hours or different shifts may occasionally be required
  • Regular schedule of 07:00 AM to 03:00 PM Monday to Friday at Nova Scotia Hospital
