About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and enhance tools, systems, and automations for energy market processes.
  • Actively shape the software development team and establish agile ways of working, development standards, and efficient processes.
  • Contribute to projects focused on the digitalization of the energy sector and smart metering.
  • Further develop AI-supported ticket processing and launch self-service tools.
  • Expand process monitoring and early-warning systems, and design AI agents for operational tasks.
  • Establish AI-assisted Development as an integral part of product development.
  • Act as a liaison between operational business teams, internal development teams, and external service providers.
  • Capture and translate stakeholder requirements into user stories and IT development tickets.
  • Manage requirements from initial elicitation through technical implementation to business acceptance.
  • Prioritize requirements, features, and bugs in the backlog.
  • Promote the use of AI for development, code reviews, testing, and quality assurance.
  • Ensure clear and transparent documentation of new features and automations.
  • Ensure stable operations, handle requests and incidents, and coordinate their resolution.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, Requirements Engineer, or in a comparable role bridging business and IT.
  • Very good understanding of modern software development and a strong interest in AI-assisted Development, coding agents, and AI-supported quality assurance.
  • Ability to identify meaningful use cases for AI in coding, testing, code reviews, and documentation.
  • Technical understanding sufficient to assess the quality, risks, and limitations of AI-generated development outputs.
  • Ability to translate business requirements and processes into clear user stories, requirements, and IT tickets.
  • Experience collaborating with development teams and external software service providers.
  • Confident handling of backlogs, prioritization, testing, and business acceptance.
  • Affinity for IT and strong technical understanding; ideally experience with Java/Kotlin, Azure, and Rust.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to bridge business and technical stakeholders.
  • A high level of ownership and a commitment to supporting products from requirements through stable operations.
  • Ideally, experience in the energy sector, metering operations, energy market communication, or energy-industry IT.
