About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Deploy, install, and configure FabGuard monitoring systems across multiple tool groups
  • Provide on-site troubleshooting and technical support for FabGuard software, hardware, and data acquisition
  • Diagnose and resolve Windows system issues; perform PC installation, configuration, and cabling
  • Create recipes and data analyses using FabGuard for Fault Detection and Classification (FDC)
  • Deliver customer training on INFICON products and identify improvement opportunities and new application areas
  • Provide written and oral feedback on applications, process optimization, and installations
  • Configure and maintain data acquisition parameters between FabGuard and connected systems
  • Support integration projects involving industrial protocols such as OPC-UA, SECS/GEM, and TCP/IP
  • Test and validate software updates; troubleshoot connectivity issues and data discrepancies
  • Serve as on-site point of contact for customer teams across multiple fabs
  • Coordinate with process engineering and equipment groups on equipment readiness and logistics
  • Report site status and escalate risks to INFICON EMEA and US management
  • Contribute to regular site status updates and propose process improvements
  • Train customers and contractor teams on FabGuard procedures
  • Document site-specific configurations
  • Provide cross-coverage support to other field colleagues as needed

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Technical diploma or degree in electronics, automation, industrial systems, or equivalent professional experience
  • Solid working knowledge of Windows operating systems, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting
  • Strong understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes and OEM equipment, including lithography, PVD, and CVD technologies
  • Basic knowledge of vacuum pump and abatement system operation
  • Demonstrated ability to test and validate software in industrial and manufacturing environments
  • Comfort working in cleanroom environments and compliance with all cleanroom procedures
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to engage directly with customer stakeholders
  • Prior experience in semiconductor fabrication environments is preferred
  • Familiarity with industrial protocols (OPC-UA, SECS/GEM, Modbus TCP) is a plus
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken; additional languages are an asset
  • Willingness and ability to work on-site at customer locations and across multiple fabs
