About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support Government and Contractor professionals in developing concepts of operations and notional system architectures for future live, virtual, and constructive training, exercises, and experiments
  • Design and coordinate SDA-related scenarios according to NRO priorities, Combatant Command directives, and JELC processes
  • Integrate NRO mission threads, including satellite protection, RPO detection, custody management, launch characterization, anomaly resolution, and commercial SDA data integration
  • Develop injects and storylines simulating adversary counterspace threats and complex space operating environments
  • Represent SDA/NRO during exercise planning conferences and working groups
  • Coordinate with Combatant Commands and interagency partners to incorporate NRO equities
  • Align exercises with NRO internal training, certification events, and operational rehearsals
  • Serve as White Cell Lead or Control Cell Lead
  • Manage real-time injects, scenario pacing, and exercise adjudication during execution
  • Develop tailored briefs, updates, and assessments for senior leader engagement
  • Develop measures of performance and effectiveness for NRO-specific injects and objectives
  • Produce After Action Reports and document lessons learned in JLLIS or NRO repositories
  • Recommend refinements to SDA doctrine, CONOPS, and TTPs based on exercise outcomes

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience, or graduate degree and minimum 4 years of prior related experience, or minimum 10 years of prior related experience in lieu of a degree
  • Top Secret/SCI with CI Poly clearance
  • Familiarity with Joint Operations and Joint Planning Process
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for reporting and briefing senior leadership
  • Experience with exercise planning and the Joint Event Life Cycle (JELC)
  • Experience developing tactical, operational, and higher-headquarters-level exercises, wargames, and experiments
  • Ability to derive senior leadership guidance and recommendations for dynamic training environments
  • Working knowledge of JTIMS, JMSEL, JLLIS, DCS, PDAS, JOPES, and TPFDD
  • Experience working across space operations, plans, intelligence, cyber operations, logistics, and senior leadership organizations
  • Space operations/satellite operations experience
  • DoD/NRO spacecraft experience
  • Ability to work in secure environments with restricted access to sensitive information
  • U.S. Citizenship is required
  • May require shift work or on-call availability
