About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide engineering support for the ESS Ground Resilient Integration & Framework for Operational NC3 (GRIFFON) Ground Integration & Framework and Systems of Systems Integration contract
  • Assist the team in demonstrating key capabilities and progress toward Ground Assembly, Integration and Test
  • Co-lead identification and demonstration of digital tools for GRIFFON tasks during the 18-month prototype demonstration period
  • Support development of a digital engineering master plan, including digital twins, for system-level verification risk reduction
  • Work with ICDs across stakeholders on interface definition, implementation, and impacts to system design
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary Agile teams to define system requirements, design, and integration solutions
  • Decompose ESS system requirements into element and component specifications with upward and downward tracing in DOORS and horizontal tracing with the System model
  • Create, update, and deliver GRIFFON engineering artifacts
  • Identify and analyze system-level trades across segments to define ESS top-level architecture
  • Plan and implement test, analysis, and integration campaigns to verify internal and external interfaces
  • Define impact assessments covering cost, schedule, and performance for technical-baseline changes
  • Develop and coordinate a system requirements verification and sell-off plan
  • Apply Digital Engineering concepts and tools, including Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or a related field, or equivalent combination of experience in lieu of degree
  • 5+ years of experience in systems engineering with a focus on digital engineering and risk reduction activities
  • Experience with NC3 mission, International Partner, protected SATCOM, XDR waveform, and/or AEHF User terminal
  • Secret clearance
  • U.S. Citizenship is required
  • 5+ years of relevant Systems Engineering experience
  • Experience with System of Systems concepts and architectures
  • Experience with verification and validation principles, approaches, processes, and procedures
  • MILSATCOM experience, including Milstar and AEHF
  • Experience with Systems Engineering in an Agile Development environment, such as Scrum or Kanban
  • Experience with Cameo Systems Modeler and DOORS
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment requiring work in a SCIF
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate positively in a team environment and virtually in geographically dispersed locations
