About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Complete a two-year Finance and Regulation Graduate Programme
- Undertake structured placements across Anglian Water
- Support decisions balancing customer affordability, environmental ambition and long-term investment
- Work on projects influencing billions of pounds of investment in water services
- Finance pathway: develop expertise in financial controls and accounting, financial planning and analysis, treasury, investment appraisal and business planning
- Assess financial performance and evaluate investment opportunities
- Provide insights supporting key business decisions
- Regulation pathway: understand economic regulation of a water company in practice
- Connect government policy, regulatory frameworks, business planning and investment delivery
- Contribute to regulatory reform and support the business plan for the 2029 Price Review
- Build analytical, commercial and leadership skills with support from colleagues and mentors
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum 2:2 degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Geography, Engineering, Environmental Science, Natural Sciences, or a closely related discipline by September 2027
- Must have obtained the degree in the last 3 years or be studying towards it and graduate by September 2027 for the 2027 intake
- Curiosity, ambition and readiness to learn
- Enjoy solving problems and working collaboratively
- Interest in securing investment in vital infrastructure upgrades
- Passion for the water industry
- Flexibility to work across the Huntingdon area, Peterborough and potentially other locations across the region and departments
