About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Deliver projects within the AMP8 Capital Investment Programme
- Drive and enable ECC Project Management teams in contract, commercial, and assurance management of NEC PSC and occasionally NEC ECC contracts
- Provide day-to-day leadership to ECC Project Management teams
- Develop and embed contract management and assurance processes across project management teams and the consultancy framework
- Lead contract management and administration of consultancy frameworks and NEC contracts
- Implement contract management strategies and assurance frameworks
- Provide commercial leadership, manage change control, resolve contractual issues, and ensure payment and procurement compliance
- Oversee supply chain frameworks and project performance through reporting and governance
- Lead performance reviews, manage non-compliance strategies, obtain stakeholder feedback, and promote best practices
- Foster collaboration and commercial awareness across teams and stakeholders
- Drive continuous improvement and efficiency initiatives
- Lead training and embed commercial culture across delivery routes
- Build and empower high-performing teams, support junior team development, and contribute to business strategy
- Champion health, safety, wellbeing, and environmental standards and participate in site visits
Requirements
What you’ll need- HND or degree in a construction, engineering, or science subject
- NEC3 or NEC4 Project Manager Accreditation desirable
- Demonstrable experience in contract and commercial management
- Demonstrable project management knowledge and experience in a design and construction environment where design liabilities sit
- Demonstrable working knowledge of NEC contract management tools
- Experience managing individuals within a team
- Experience carrying out assurance activities within an NEC contract
- Proficiency in the Office 365 suite
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to manage priorities, maintain accurate records, and contribute to continuous improvement
- Commercial awareness and commitment to ethical and sustainable decision-making
