About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Work closely with the Project Delivery Team to manage the lifecycle of projects
  • Collaborate with Framework Partners to provide industry-leading design standards
  • Work across Operational Client Teams and contract partners to establish smooth and efficient workflow processes
  • Maintain overall accountability for the entire project
  • Support construction activities
  • Ensure compliance with Construction (Design & Management) Regulations 2015 and Water Quality practices (POSWSH)
  • Ensure new assets are installed and commissioned to Anglian Water’s minimum asset standards
  • Effectively hand over commissioned assets to operational colleagues
  • Manage project expenses and control costs within budget
  • Verify contract partner service item claims and third-party invoices
  • Reconcile planned versus actual costs at project completion
  • Provide accurate cost evidence for final invoicing and support changes of scope

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Ideally educated to degree level or equivalent, preferably in a relevant subject such as Engineering
  • Significant Project Management and commercial awareness
  • Experience of identifying, developing and managing new business opportunities
  • Sound Understanding of Construction Design Management
  • Ability to build excellent customer relationships and possess strong negotiating and influencing skills
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to adapt and change, and to think strategically and analytically
  • Utility knowledge desirable
  • Knowledge of water fittings and materials or similar
  • Attention to detail coupled with excellent time management and strong IT skills
  • Experience in all Microsoft Office packages ideally
  • A water/water recycling/engineering background would be an advantage
