About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Undertake planned maintenance on the water network
- React to emergency requirements and maintain water network systems
- Carry out flushing, surveying, leak detection, pressure and flow tests, and valve operations
- Use asset maps, data and tools to resolve planned and reactive operational problems
- Travel around the region in a fully equipped company van
- Ensure water quality is sufficiently maintained
- Liaise with customers and provide high levels of customer service
- Keep customers informed throughout work and represent Anglian Water
- Complete hands-on training and job shadowing
- Work towards NRSWA accreditation and LTO training
Requirements
What you’ll need- Educated to GCSE level (or equivalent)
- Experience of working in an engineering industry, ideally providing a front-line service
- Strong technical aptitude
- Ideally experience of water networks, street works and leakage control
- Ability to explain terminology to the public in order to reassure and provide a great service
- Proven experience of providing great customer service
- Ability to work a 37-hour week
- Flexible approach to working hours
- Availability for a standby rota and overtime as required
- Ability to travel to various locations around the region
