About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, build and deliver complex digital solutions for public-sector challenges
Own engineering and delivery of small-to-medium services or major components across the full lifecycle
Design, build, deploy, operate and continually improve services
Lead end-to-end architecture and design of components or services
Produce and maintain high-quality technical documentation
Partner with Delivery Managers on technical planning and structuring
Provide accurate and commercially sound estimates
Identify and mitigate technical risks, issues and dependencies
Act as a trusted technical advisor to clients, partners and third parties
Guide and support colleagues and mentor less experienced engineers
Work on greenfield projects and adapt to changing priorities and uncertainty

Requirements

What you’ll need

5+ years’ proven experience in a Full Stack Engineering role
Advanced skills in .NET, Java or Python
Proficiency with modern JavaScript libraries
Experience owning delivery across the full lifecycle from design to operation
Strong understanding of architectural and design patterns, including serverless and microservices
Ability to lead and assure the application of architectural and design patterns
Experience working in Agile environments using Scrum, Kanban and test-driven development (TDD)
Experience contributing to delivery planning and estimation
Experience mentoring and supporting less experienced engineers
Consultancy environment experience, engaging with external stakeholders and clients
Exposure to public sector projects and complex organisational landscapes
