About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Own end-to-end solution design for Xstore Point of Service and Xstore Office
Design each market on the global template with minimal, well-governed customisation
Complete design for 3 to 4 work packages per year
Perform fit-gap and Adopt-vs-Adapt assessments per market
Produce solution designs and FSDs for sales, returns, exchanges, clienteling, payments, tax and receipts
Design country localisation including fiscalization, tax, e-invoicing, fiscal printers and Oracle country-pack usage or gaps
Provide technical design inputs for customisations, extensions and integrations, traceable to requirements and tests
Design integrations between Xstore and payments, tax, order management, CRM, ERP, e-commerce and SIOCS
Prepare design hand-over packs meeting Definition of Ready and design-gate criteria
Contribute to the Base Template roadmap and upgrade planning
Conduct design reviews and quality gates
Provide root-cause input on design defects
Coach POD engineers
Advise senior business and IT stakeholders and document design decisions
Support a global luxury retail POS transformation rolling out to boutiques in around 36 countries from 2027 to 2030

Requirements

What you’ll need

Broad business skills including stakeholder management with senior business and IT leaders, problem-solving, and resilience
Ability to reject overcommitment and unnecessary customisation with a clear rationale
Experience building and growing the right-skilled team across PODs, vendors and locations
Excellent interpersonal skills and strong written and verbal communication skills in English (C2 proficiency)
French is a strong advantage
Willingness to travel regularly to boutiques, regional PODs and client sites
Deep knowledge of Xstore Point of Service and Office, including configuration, extension points, data model, Xcenter, Xadmin, EMV and offline mode
Knowledge of Oracle Retail and cloud integration patterns
Knowledge of fiscal and tax requirements across Europe, APAC and the Americas
15+ years in retail technology and 8+ years designing Oracle Xstore solutions
Senior Principal track: 18+ years and several global rollouts as lead architect
Experience as lead or chief architect on a multi-country POS rollout, ideally covering 10+ countries
Strong luxury, fashion or premium retail background, including clienteling, high-touch boutique processes, multi-brand and multi-currency
Experience governing a standard-first template and working across multiple vendors
Oracle Retail or Xstore certification is a plus
