About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide strategic and operational procurement support for the Tethered Aerostat Radar System (TARS) Program
  • Lead procurement planning activities, including development of Statements of Work (SOW), IGCEs, and acquisition strategies
  • Oversee preparation and review of procurement documentation for accuracy and compliance with FAR and DHS policies
  • Coordinate with contracting officers and program stakeholders to support timely and effective contract awards
  • Monitor procurement milestones and maintain acquisition tracking systems
  • Support subcontractor sourcing, evaluation, and performance oversight
  • Provide procurement status reports, risk assessments, and recommendations to senior leadership
  • Ensure cost efficiency through market research, vendor competition, and contract optimization
  • Oversee planning, coordination, and execution of procurement actions in accordance with federal acquisition regulations
  • Ensure compliance, cost-efficiency, and timely delivery of contract requirements

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in acquisition, supply chain management, or a closely related discipline
  • Master’s preferred
  • Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
  • A minimum of 15 years of experience
  • In-depth understanding of federal procurement regulations and practices
  • Experience with DHS or DoD acquisition environments
  • Excellent organizational and documentation skills
  • Strong leadership, communication, and analytical abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple complex procurement actions under tight timelines
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint
  • Positive adjudication from a CBP Background Investigation
  • Position requires some travel
