About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead multidisciplinary teams comprising Software Developers and Quality Analysts
Partner with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and other departments to ensure deliveries are aligned with business priorities
Coordinate multiple squads, monitoring capacity, priorities, delivery quality, and continuous improvement
Provide technical support to the team in defining solutions, architecture, and engineering best practices
Participate in technical decisions alongside the CTO, contributing to the technological evolution of products
Plan releases, monitor metrics, and remove impediments that impact delivery
Lead activities related to the support and enhancement of legacy systems, ensuring stability and quality
Promote development, testing, code review, and continuous improvement practices
Provide feedback, conduct one-on-one meetings (1:1s), and support the team’s technical and behavioral development
Foster a collaborative, psychologically safe, and learning-oriented environment

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field
Strong experience leading software development teams
Technical background in Java development
Ability to move between people management and technical discussions, supporting architecture and engineering decisions
Experience working with legacy systems and continuously evolving applications
Experience with agile methodologies (Scrum and Kanban)
Knowledge of agile metrics and flow management
Experience modernizing legacy applications
Knowledge of software architecture
Experience with software engineering best practices, quality, and secure development
Excellent communication skills, a collaborative approach, and the ability to facilitate negotiations between technical and business teams
Experience with Spring Boot and the Java ecosystem (a plus)
Experience with continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) (a plus)
Experience working at software companies or software houses (a plus)
Knowledge of the Brazilian judiciary ecosystem (a plus)
