About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support budgeting and forecasting
- Support monthly management reporting and variance analysis
- Produce financial analysis and insight for commercial decisions
- Build financial models and support business cases
- Work with Financial Accounting to understand month-end and the financial ledger
- Develop Excel and Power BI skills to turn data into useful insight
- Work with budget holders and stakeholders across the business
- Communicate financial information clearly to non-finance audiences
- Help stakeholders understand financial performance, identify opportunities and make informed decisions
- Build understanding of commercial drivers and their connection to business performance
- Take on increasing responsibility as knowledge and confidence grow
- Work alongside an experienced Finance Business Partner in the Finance Controlling team
Requirements
What you’ll need- 2:1 degree or above in any discipline
- Graduated within the last three years: 2026, 2025 or 2024
- Genuine interest in building a career in commercial finance
- Enjoyment working with numbers, data and solving problems
- Good Excel skills and comfort working with data
- Curiosity to understand the reasons behind financial numbers
- Clear communication skills, including explaining information to non-finance specialists
- Initiative and comfort working in a fast-paced environment
- Resilience, adaptability and openness to feedback
- Collaborative approach and ability to build relationships
- Finance, Economics, Business, Mathematics or another numerate subject advantageous
