About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Work with the Product Owner and business to develop and detail the product backlog as epics and stories describing problems and expected outcomes
Run refinement sessions with the development team
Mentor the existing junior Product Analyst
Assist the Development Lead by supporting Developers and Testers
Act as a communication channel between product owners, business owners and the development team
Contribute to planning and execution of system and acceptance testing
Undertake documentation supporting sprint activities
Build and maintain relationships with business representatives across teams and multiple sites
Gather and document business requirements
Write user stories
Perform testing and handover to IT support teams
Handle occasional ad-hoc queries and support tasks

Requirements

What you’ll need

Excellent working knowledge of fixed income instruments and derivatives, including pricing, analytics and trading and uses in portfolio management
Asset Management Industry experience, in a Portfolio Management Front Office role
Ability to apply suitable analytical approaches to requirements discovery, documentation and collaborative solution delivery
Capture of user stories and artifacts in JIRA, Confluence and Mural
Use of AI to capture and create stories to accelerated delivery where possible
Skills in collecting and interpreting data, analysing results to identify patterns and trends in data
Competent working with data, ideally through REST APIs through Swagger, GraphQL and SQL
Excellent stakeholder engagement and management experience with the ability to effectively communicate at a level and depth appropriate to the audience
Demonstrable experience of gathering requests and technical specifications
Experience working in Agile delivery teams using Scrum or Kanban, including participation in different Scrum ceremonies
A sense of personal responsibility and the drive to own problems, can work self-directed and independently to accomplish results
Provides assistance to developers and testers of the team; proactively removing blockers to maximise team productivity
Creates an environment where individuals are encouraged and supported to achieve their goals
Promotes a positive team culture; identifies and implements ways to improve teamwork; builds effective relationships throughout the organisation
