About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Implement new clients on the SaaS application, including consultation on design, configuration, data migration/onboarding, workflow, and training.
Help live clients optimize software use for enterprise lease accounting, financial and operational reporting, and lease management.
Respond to client questions, concerns, and support tickets, emphasizing lease accounting journal entries and accounting reports.
Analyze and document software defects, regressions, product limitations, and potential enhancements.
Work with Product and Engineering teams to prioritize tickets and document requirements based on client needs.
Help clients work around product defects and limitations pending resolution.
Collaborate with internal teams, partners, and client user teams to promote best practices.
Work with clients and internal resources to validate new releases and ensure they meet expectations and are free of material defects or regressions.
Contribute to product documentation and training curriculum updates.
Review implementation protocols and suggest streamlining improvements.
Assist Solutions Consultants, Customer Success Managers, sales, and marketing teams with technical questions and sales and marketing communications.
Act as a Subject Matter Expert for equipment and real estate lease features, functions, and related accounting.
Support understanding of real estate lease accounting nuances, including land, buildings, cell towers, tenant allowances, leasehold improvements, CAMS charges, and related expenses.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree with specialization in accounting, or equivalent academic qualification.
High level of proficiency in Excel and working with Excel functions and pivot tables.
Prior experience in implementing and/or working with enterprise lease accounting software from a lessee perspective.
Understanding of accounting and disclosure requirements under ASC 840, IAS 17, ASC 842, IFRS 16 and IFRS 102.
Understanding of monthly journal entries, monthly roll forward reports, quarterly maturity schedules, and monthly account reconciliation.
Understanding of gathering relevant data on new equipment and real estate leases and performing classification tests as lessee.
Prior experience abstracting information about existing and new leases and loading data into LeaseAccelerator.
Ability to apply technical accounting research to business transactions, specifically within ASC 840, ASC 842, IAS 17, IFRS 16 and IFRS 102.
Understanding of integration options involving General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, Tax Systems, and other ERP modules.
Understanding of Time Value of Money calculations and amortization schedules.
Prior experience with Tier 1 or Tier 2 ERP, with emphasis on financial accounting policies, processes and controls.
Agility and acumen with new software applications, productivity tools, and contemporary communication tools.
Knowledge and understanding of corporate controller organizational needs and operational activities.
Strong organizational skills to manage multiple relationships and projects with autonomy and minimal oversight.
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
Physically and psychologically capable of working from a home office or other remote location using High Speed Internet access while collaborating effectively with remote colleagues, clients, and partners.
Background check required for employment, where permitted by country, state/province.
