About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead product design across active product streams and partner with Product Management on problem spaces, ambiguity, and design trade-offs
  • Audit clinical and operational workflows using user research, product data, and design reviews
  • Translate findings into improvements to clinical efficiency and patient outcomes
  • Propose, document, and maintain scalable components and dynamic patterns in the Figma-based design system
  • Design system architectures for complex data, dynamic error states, and varied user environments
  • Build prototypes ranging from low-fidelity wireframes to interactive high-fidelity Figma flows
  • Integrate AI tools, including generative layout, AI-assisted content generation, and automated interaction generation
  • Independently lead user research and discovery for major initiatives
  • Ensure clinical safety and WCAG accessibility standards across designs
  • Conduct competitive audits and incorporate best-in-class UX patterns
  • Evaluate technical trade-offs with Engineering and Data partners
  • Participate in sprint ceremonies, design reviews, and cross-functional check-ins
  • Manage project timelines and maintain a validated, technically feasible engineering pipeline
  • Deliver actionable critique and mentor design team members
  • Document active streams, design system changes, and open decisions for transition at assignment close

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years of end-to-end product design experience, ideally in health tech, digital health, or complex enterprise SaaS applications
  • Master-level proficiency in Figma, including auto-layout, advanced component variables, dynamic states, and modern plugin ecosystems
  • Demonstrated experience with design system management, tokenization, and scaling design libraries for enterprise applications
  • Hands-on experience integrating AI-driven prototyping or generative design tools
  • Proven track record using research, data, and competitive auditing to de-risk projects and drive product strategy
  • Strong knowledge of web and mobile accessibility standards (WCAG) and clinical or data safety guidelines
  • A portfolio demonstrating complex workflow design, systems thinking, and measurable product outcomes
  • Ability to build context quickly and contribute meaningfully inside an established product organization within the first few weeks
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills
  • Comfort navigating ambiguity and setting direction on complex problems with general guidance
  • Availability to work standard business hours with sufficient overlap across US time zones
