About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Directly manage, coach, and develop a team of Renewal Representatives
- Provide regular feedback, performance evaluations, and career development planning
- Drive team engagement and foster a collaborative, high-performance culture
- Develop and deliver training in negotiation, customer retention, and upsell/cross-sell strategies
- Lead recruitment, onboarding, and professional growth of team members
- Oversee portfolio performance and identify growth opportunities
- Serve as final escalation point for complex or high-value renewals
- Negotiate directly with customers when necessary
- Collaborate with Sales, Customer Success, and Finance teams
- Develop and refine renewal process, data integrity, and operational effectiveness strategies
- Monitor and analyze renewal KPIs and deliver recommendations to leadership
- Lead team participation in Quarterly Business Reviews and present performance data to senior stakeholders
- Manage cross-functional initiatives focused on retention, workflow improvements, and team effectiveness
- Apply project management methodologies to scope, track, and deliver projects
- Optimize team workflows for productivity and scalability
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum 7 years of experience in renewals, account management, or customer success
- At least 3 years in a leadership role
- Experience successfully managing teams and driving customer retention and revenue growth
- Leadership and coaching abilities with a record of building and developing high-performing teams
- Advanced negotiation skills
- Experience managing high-value, multi-product, and complex customer accounts
- Strategic planning and process improvement experience
- Proficiency in Salesforce
- Proficiency in Gainsight and Clari
- Proficiency in project management software such as Asana or Jira
- Strong analytical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Must pass a background check
