About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Deliver engaging product demonstrations for Parchment’s services across Higher Ed and K-12
Engage prospective customers to identify goals and challenges and map needs to Parchment solutions
Lead technical discussions with IT professionals about platform architecture, REST/JSON web services, and systems integration
Identify or design solutions for unique technical requirements and provide consultative recommendations
Gather and document requirements for successful implementations
Support technical elements of RFI/RFP responses
Collaborate with Product Management on feature feedback and customer alignment
Share knowledge and experience to support sales goals
Mentor, recruit, onboard, and enable team members
Work across geographies with distributed teams to achieve company objectives

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree required
Background in academic technology and/or solutions engineering
Experience with K-12 or Postsecondary education
Strong understanding of the edtech market and SaaS business models
Deep knowledge of systems integration, including LTI and APIs
Knowledge of XML/JSON and relational databases
Familiarity with Student Information Systems such as Oracle PeopleSoft, Ellucian, Workday, and PowerSchool
Experience with Salesforce, Responsive, Microsoft Office Suite, and Google Workspace
Strong presentation skills
Ability to communicate system capabilities empathetically and clearly
Highly organized, analytical, and self-motivated
Ability to manage a high workload and respond to feedback
Flexible location, near a major airport
Willingness to travel up to 40%
Must pass a background check
