About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Conduct programmatic analysis of federal grants, evaluating implementation, outcomes, and compliance across state, tribal, and nonprofit organizations
  • Monitor grantee performance against objectives and funding requirements using data, reports, and stakeholder input
  • Support development of program policies, guidance, and evaluation tools
  • Analyze quantitative and qualitative data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities
  • Assist in planning and supporting program monitoring visits, technical assistance sessions, and stakeholder engagements
  • Prepare reports, summaries, and presentations communicating findings and recommendations to internal and external stakeholders
  • Collaborate with program managers, financial analysts, and auditors to ensure coordinated oversight
  • Contribute to best practices in program analysis and performance evaluation across grant portfolios

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • A degree in a social science field such as psychology, sociology, economics, political science, history, public policy, or public health, or a degree in business administration or public administration that includes or is supplemented by 24 semester hours in public policy, non-profit management, or financial analysis
  • Demonstrated experience in programmatic analysis and monitoring of federal grants administered by states, tribes, or nonprofit organizations
  • Completion of 24 semester hours in courses of appropriate type and quality, including up to 6 hours of business law; or at least four years of experience in program management or programmatic analysis; or at least five years of experience overseeing an OCS grant at the local, state, territory, or tribal level; or an equivalent combination of program management or programmatic analysis experience, education, and training
  • Experience working with federal programs under the Office of Community Services (OCS) preferred
  • Familiarity with performance measurement frameworks and outcome reporting for social programs preferred
  • Strong writing, research, and data interpretation skills preferred
  • Proficiency with reporting tools, data systems, and presentation software preferred
  • Proficiency with financial auditing tools, data analytics platforms, or monitoring systems such as TeamMate+ preferred
  • Understanding of federal policy development, program design, or evaluation methodologies preferred
