About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting processes
- Prepare and review supporting schedules and reconciliations for key balance sheet and profit and loss accounts
- Assist with regional consolidated financial information and management reporting packs
- Analyse financial results and investigate variances
- Contribute to improving the quality, consistency, and reliability of Group financial reporting
- Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations and resolve outstanding items
- Support internal controls over financial reporting
- Assist with statutory reporting and external audit processes
- Ensure compliance with Group accounting policies and reporting standards
- Prepare documentation for audit and governance purposes
- Identify opportunities to improve and streamline financial reporting processes
- Support standardised reporting templates, procedures, and controls across the Group
- Contribute to automation initiatives improving reporting efficiency and data integrity
- Document and maintain finance policies and procedures
- Assist with integrating newly acquired businesses into Group reporting processes and systems
- Support chart of accounts alignment, balance sheet reviews, and reporting standardisation
- Participate in finance transformation and integration projects
- Work with Regional Financial Controllers and local finance teams to meet reporting deadlines
- Collaborate with FP&A, Tax, Treasury, and Systems teams
- Provide financial analysis and support to management
- Build working relationships across finance and operational teams
Requirements
What you’ll need- Professional accounting qualification or finalist status (ACA, ACCA, CPA or CIMA)
- Strong understanding of financial accounting principles and controls
- Experience preparing management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Experience working within a multi-entity environment
- Strong Excel and financial systems skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
- Experience within a software, technology, or private equity-backed business (desirable)
- Exposure to group reporting and consolidation processes (desirable)
- Experience working with ERP and reporting systems (desirable)
- Involvement in finance transformation, system implementation, or business integration projects (desirable)
- Proactive and self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Eager to learn and develop within a growing finance function
- Collaborative team player who builds effective working relationships
- Continuous improvement mindset with a desire to enhance processes and controls
