About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead and manage end-to-end delivery of cybersecurity transformation projects, ensuring on-time, in-scope and on-budget delivery
- Collaborate with internal teams, clients, external vendors and senior leadership to define requirements, timelines and deliverables
- Communicate project status, risks and issues to stakeholders at all organizational levels
- Build and lead project teams by assigning tasks, managing schedules, setting priorities and supporting team members
- Identify project risks and issues and develop mitigation strategies
- Plan, allocate and manage project resources
- Ensure projects follow internal security policies, best practices, industry standards and regulatory requirements such as GDPR, NIST and ISO 27001
- Oversee project budgets, track expenditures and adjust plans to meet budget constraints
- Maintain project plans, RAID logs, change documentation, risk/issue acceptance records, progress reports and post-implementation reviews
- Provide regular updates to executive leadership on project health and security posture improvements
- Stay current with cybersecurity trends, technologies and best practices
- Identify opportunities for process improvements within the organization
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cyber Security, Computer Science, Project Management or a related field
- Relevant certifications such as PRINCE2, PMP, CISSP, CISM, ITIL
- Strong command of both English and Spanish, written and spoken
- At least five years’ experience managing IT projects, including a minimum of two years managing cyber security projects, preferably within large enterprise environments
- Minimum of two years’ experience working within a Managed Services environment, delivering multiple concurrent projects to clients across multiple sectors
- Experience with Bid Teams and RFPs highly desirable
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity concepts, risk management and security frameworks, including NIST, ISO 27001 and CIS Controls
- Familiarity with firewalls, intrusion detection systems, endpoint protection, encryption, IAM and SIEM
- Experience with cloud security, application security and network security highly desirable
- Exceptional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong leadership and team-building skills
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Detail-oriented and highly organized, with ability to manage competing priorities
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
