About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and execute space, capacity, and capital strategies for APTM WPM factories
  • Balance near-term execution and long-range planning through scenario-based tradeoff analysis
  • Model WPM capacity across manufacturing segments using demand forecasts, tool roadmaps, and customer scenarios
  • Perform S&OP demand and capacity analysis, evaluating gaps, constraints, and response scenarios
  • Translate insights into executive-ready recommendations on capacity actions, capital timing, and tradeoffs
  • Analyze tradeoffs between space, capacity, throughput, and CapEx to optimize factory economics and ROIC
  • Integrate capacity strategies across APTM, Technology Development, Manufacturing, Foundry Business Group, Construction and Sourcing, Customer Strategic Planning, and Finance
  • Collect, benchmark, and synthesize internal and external data for senior and executive leadership
  • Own and develop planning or modeling capabilities, driving adoption and sustained impact
  • Communicate insights and recommendations under tight timelines and incomplete information across cross-functional stakeholders

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering or similar degree and 4+ years of experience, OR Master's degree in Industrial Engineering or similar degree and 3+ years of experience, OR PhD in Industrial Engineering or similar
  • 2+ years' experience in foundry manufacturing systems design, supply chain, capacity planning, or operations research
  • 1+ years of experience with statistical analysis tools
  • 1+ years of experience with analytics and data modeling capabilities using Excel
  • 1+ years' experience with project management
  • Experience managing multiple priorities in fast-paced manufacturing environments
  • Preferred: Master's degree or PhD in Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field
  • Experience implementing Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies for large-scale process improvements
  • Advanced proficiency in data visualization tools or programming languages such as Python, R, SQL, or Power BI
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, with proven ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights
  • Previous experience in semiconductor manufacturing or technology-related industries
  • Experience obtained through school work/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences
