About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design and develop PCB test boards and associated electromechanical devices, systems, components, packaging, and prototypes for Advanced Packaging Technology development
  • Create product and test specifications based on technical requirements and conduct design reviews
  • Develop and implement manufacturing drawing packages for PCB and mechanical assemblies using CAD tools
  • Conduct feasibility studies and create system simulations to validate designs for functionality, reliability, and safety
  • Select materials, components, and manufacturing technologies to optimize electromechanical designs
  • Execute test plans validating electronic and mechanical interactions, including thermal cycling, dynamic analysis, and functional reliability testing
  • Apply advanced computer-aided design engineering methods to resolve technical challenges
  • Collaborate with thermal, mechanical, and system engineers to optimize design parameters and achieve performance objectives

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Associate degree in a related technical field with 8-10 years of hands-on experience in electromechanical design
  • Advanced experience in CAD tools for designing PCB and mechanical assemblies
  • Experience with manufacturing processes, materials selection, and high-volume production environments
  • Expertise in developing and executing test plans for functionality validation and reliability assessment
  • Preferred: Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related technical field with 3-6 years of hands-on experience in electromechanical design
  • Preferred: Strong collaboration and teamwork skills
  • Preferred: Demonstrated project management abilities, including configuration management and change control
  • Preferred: Familiarity with dynamic analysis, thermal cycling, and system simulations
  • Preferred: Experience conducting design previews and resolving implementation issues with cross-functional partners
