About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Contribute to firmware build, release, and CI platforms
- Develop web frontends, backend services, and database designs and implementations
- Develop and maintain automated workflows using GitHub Actions
- Connect code builds, testing, and releases to improve development efficiency
- Develop Python tools and scripts for firmware development, debugging, testing, and log analysis
- Use and configure simulators and virtual platforms for firmware development and testing
- Develop and maintain test cases and automated test scripts based on firmware requirements
- Analyze test results and investigate issues
- Collaborate with firmware engineers to improve test workflows, testing efficiency, and firmware quality
- Contribute to firmware development and debugging for microcontrollers on GPU boards as project needs and skills evolve
Requirements
What you’ll need- Currently enrolled full-time in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Automation, or a related science or engineering discipline
- Full-stack web development skills, including frontend interfaces, backend services, and databases
- Proficiency in Python and C
- Familiarity with Git and Linux development environments
- Basic understanding of GPU or embedded system architecture, including processors, memory, peripherals, and hardware–software interactions
- Ability to read and write technical documentation in English
- Ability to participate in English-language meetings
- Ability to communicate effectively with engineers in other countries
- Strong analytical thinking
- Willingness to learn
- Ability to collaborate effectively
- Preferred: Hands-on project experience developing and maintaining full-stack applications, developer tools, or automation platforms
- Preferred: Experience with GitHub Actions or CI/CD and DevOps tools and workflows
- Preferred: Familiarity with CMake, software builds, dependency management, and release processes
- Preferred: Experience with C++ development, embedded software, or microcontroller firmware projects
- Preferred: Understanding of RTOS concepts, including task scheduling, synchronization, and inter-task communication
- Preferred: Experience using simulators or virtual platforms
- Preferred: Experience with automated testing, log analysis, or hardware–software debugging
- Preferred: Sustained interest in GPUs, embedded systems, and firmware development
