About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide Level 2 technical support, troubleshooting, and maintenance for database systems and data loader processes
- Ensure smooth data operations in an automated manufacturing environment
- Resolve technical issues involving databases and data integration
- Support end-users with database and data integration challenges
- Work as part of the Database, Data Analytics and Process Control (AO DAP) L2 team
- Work Shift 7 – 12-hour Days: Thursday through Saturday and every other Wednesday
- Follow procedures in a 24x7 support environment
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Engineering or related STEM fields
- 6+ months of experience with scripting and related activities (SQL, Python, or PowerShell, etc.)
- 6+ months of experience in current IT technologies (Windows Server, ServiceNow, ITIL, iCloud, or VMWare, etc.)
- 1+ years of experience with relational database technologies and database engineering or database administration support
- 1+ years of experience with automated monitoring and alerting systems
- Proficiency in SQL query writing and optimization
- Experience with major database platforms (SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL database administration)
- Understanding of database concepts (tables, indexes, views, or stored procedures)
- Knowledge of database backup and recovery procedures
- Familiarity with database monitoring tools and performance metrics
- Understanding of Agile frameworks and ITIL/incident management processes
- Highly flexible, results-oriented mindset with customer-first approach
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving abilities
- Excellent project management, verbal, and written communication skills
- Ability to resolve complex technical issues in high-pressure environments
- Ability to follow procedures and work in a 24x7 support environment
