About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Execute power and performance product activities focused on measurements, analysis, and projections/estimates for Intel's unlaunched notebook and desktop products
- Measure, analyze, and debug workloads to identify power and performance gaps and resolve them with engineering teams and architects
- Measure and analyze SoC/CPU and platform power on a rail-by-rail basis and debug issues
- Align with engineering teams and architects on power and performance projections, estimates, and measurements for internal and external communications
- Guide, educate, and influence engineering, field account, and marketing teams on Intel product power and performance positioning
- Create power and performance estimates for upcoming Intel products to support marketing decisions and internal KPI targets
- Own publication of Power Performance Guide collateral for OEM customers
- Bring up complete test platforms for power and performance measurements, including setup, calibration, and measurements
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science with 4+ years of relevant experience, or Master's degree in these fields with 3+ years of relevant experience
- At least 1 year of experience in a post-silicon environment, system architecture/CPU microarchitecture, or system engineering
- Knowledge of x86 CPU microarchitecture is a plus
- Understanding of standard benchmarks and ability to analyze performance
- Familiarity with industry benchmarks such as Procyon, SPEC CPU, WebXPRT, Cinebench, Geekbench, MobileMark, and 3DMark is a plus
- Familiarity with ITP/JTAG scripts, board bring-up, and power measurements with DAQ is required
- Prior experience with Intel products or other CPU products in a post-silicon engineering environment is a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience developing customized content for a technical audience is a plus
