About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead a high-impact team of engineers
  • Set direction for supplier technical capability assessments and readiness plans
  • Assess substrate supplier network capacity, capability, scalability, and long-term readiness
  • Partner across Intel organizations to define supply chain requirements aligned to product and foundry roadmaps
  • Shape future capacity expansion plans and technical requirements for next-generation products and technologies
  • Drive supplier capacity expansion timelines, readiness checkpoints, and executive-level risk mitigation
  • Maintain visibility to supplier network capacity, investment needs, and readiness for emerging technical building blocks
  • Evaluate supplier investment requirements and establish product cost, affordability, and price targets
  • Build and sustain strategic engagement with substrate, material, and equipment suppliers
  • Serve as a senior interface with Intel Technology Development groups and business units
  • Provide strategic oversight of second- and third-tier suppliers for critical substrate bills of materials
  • Guide development of core, buildup, and solder resist substrate materials
  • Strengthen supplier relationships to reduce business continuity risks
  • Lead supplier execution for test vehicle builds, product new product introduction, and high-risk builds
  • Sponsor supplier engineering qualifications for second- and third-tier material changes
  • Partner with business units and customers to architect an affordable, resilient, performance-enabling supply chain
  • Provide enterprise program leadership in a senior customer-facing role
  • Build trusted relationships through stakeholder leadership and cross-functional alignment
  • Apply structured problem solving and decisive leadership in ambiguous, high-stakes environments

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Expertise in supply chain engineering, supplier management, data analysis, and regulatory compliance
  • Proven ability to manage performance, drive results, and lead cross-functional teams and initiatives
  • Experience managing semiconductor test equipment and tooling
  • Experience negotiating complex deals with suppliers or customers
  • Advanced understanding of semiconductor supply chains, tools, and processes
  • Demonstrated ability to manage long-term supplier partnerships and execute cost reduction programs
  • Exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making
  • Experience leading escalations, risk mitigation activities, and executive-level supplier business reviews
  • Strong leadership skills with demonstrated success in team building and talent development
  • Passion for driving innovation and sustainability within supply chain operations
  • Degree in supply chain management, engineering, business administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience per business needs
  • 12+ years of experience with a Bachelor's degree, 8+ years with a Master's degree, or 6+ years with a PhD in supply chain, engineering, or technical leadership roles
  • Must consent to and pass an extended Background Investigation, including extended education, SEC sanctions, and additional criminal and civil checks, subject to country law
