About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Enable next-generation programmable Infrastructure Processing Unit (IPU) solutions with lead customers
  • Work closely with major cloud service providers and Intel development teams to deliver customized IPU-based solutions
  • Help customers manage feature request processes, enable solutions, and debug issues
  • Understand customer needs and build proofs of concept (POCs)
  • Work with internal and external partners to understand use cases and requirements
  • Serve as the go-to technical resource for customers building complex datacenters and AI infrastructure
  • Help customers understand solution performance characteristics
  • Prepare and deliver technical content, including presentations and workshops
  • Contribute across the full IPU lifecycle, including board and platform bring-up, low-level device initialization, OS driver and kernel configuration, system management, feature enablement, use-case testing, debugging, and verification
  • Define systems implementation and integration solutions and plans for optimum performance and reliability across hardware, firmware, and software with network, storage, and AI workloads

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's or master's in electrical or computer engineering, computer science or related field
  • 4+ years of combined experience with networking fundamentals, including NICs, hardware accelerators, switching and/or modern data center protocols
  • 4+ years of combined experience with system software stacks, especially software-hardware interactions across platform firmware, device drivers, the Linux kernel, and user space application performance
  • 4+ years of combined customer-facing systems engineering and debug experience of platform, computing, memory, and network components
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently across diverse stakeholders, including external customers, and manage priorities
  • Knowledge of Ethernet products and ecosystems for enterprise and data centers
  • Experience collaborating with Cloud Service Providers and familiarity with data center workloads, RDMA, collectives, and AI benchmarking
  • Experience with NIC hardware and software stacks, including configuration, testing, and/or troubleshooting
  • Experience with GCC, Git, GitHub, RPM, Make files, Shell Scripting, Docker, and Jenkins
