About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as the lead functional architect for Workday, translating business requirements into scalable solution designs across HCM modules
- Design and configure business processes, security groups, and calculated fields supporting HR, Benefits, Talent, Compensation, and Security functions
- Gather requirements with HRBPs, Talent Acquisition, Compensation, and other stakeholders and recommend Workday-native solutions
- Design and maintain the Workday security framework, including security policies, security groups, segregation-of-duties controls, and access audits
- Provide architectural guidance for mergers/acquisitions, organizational restructures, multi-country rollouts, and new module implementations
- Develop and maintain design specifications, configuration workbooks, business process maps, and security matrices
- Mentor junior analysts and configuration specialists and act as escalation point for complex functional and security issues
- Ensure data integrity, compliance, and audit-readiness across Workday modules
- Evaluate and recommend new Workday modules and functionality aligned with business strategy
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 7+ years of hands-on Workday HCM experience, including at least 3 years in a solutions architect, lead configuration, or senior functional consultant capacity
- Deep functional expertise across multiple Workday modules, including Core HCM, Advanced Compensation, Benefits Administration, Absence Management, Talent & Performance Management, Recruiting, Security, and Reporting
- Proven experience leading full-cycle Workday implementations, module rollouts, or major transformation projects
- Strong understanding of integration tools (EIB, Core Connectors, Studio) and reporting/BIRT tools
- Excellent stakeholder management and consulting skills; able to communicate with both technical and executive audiences
- Experience with change management and release testing methodologies
- Workday Pro Certification in one or more listed areas is preferred
