About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the extensive team of IntellaTriage nurses and report to the CNO
- Drive exceptional quality of care across the centralized triage function
- Collaborate with the Quality department to establish call quality standards
- Promote continuous learning and clinical excellence
- Partner with Clinical Education and Training to ensure nurses are prepared
- Build an engaged, mission-driven culture focused on clinical excellence and nurse growth
- Lead, build, and coach triage leadership teams
- Foster accountability, collaboration, and innovation
- Identify and develop future nursing leaders
- Model servant-based leadership in a nurse-first environment
- Design, develop, and improve standardized triage workflows
- Develop evidence-based policies supporting clinical best practices
- Lead process improvement initiatives within centralized triage
- Collaborate with the CNO to develop and execute the clinical vision
- Advance and standardize telephonic triage protocols and clinical pathways tailored to client protocols
- Partner with executive leadership on innovation, scalability, and clinical excellence
- Lead and develop a high-performing, fully remote nursing and clinical leadership workforce
- Design management models supporting 24/7 triage operations
- Strengthen engagement, retention, and leadership development across the remote workforce
Requirements
What you’ll need- Active, unencumbered RN license (multi-state preferred)
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) required
- Master’s degree in nursing, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration or related field preferred
- Experience managing remote nursing staff strongly preferred
- Advanced understanding of nursing practice standards, scope of practice, and clinical decision-making
- Deep knowledge of patient assessment and triage methodologies, particularly in non-visual (telephonic) environments
- Expertise in home health, hospice, and post-acute care models
- Understanding of risk stratification and clinical decision support tools used in call-based environments
- Best practices for documentation, call handling, and clinical judgment without physical assessment
- Awareness of patient engagement strategies in remote, episodic interactions
- Workforce engagement strategies for remote/distributed teams
- Organizational design, span of control, and leadership development
- Experience in hospice, palliative care or post-acute care
- Experience leading remote clinical teams and/or telephonic triage operations
- Lean/Six Sigma certification or strong process improvement track record
- Must have at least 5+ years of management experience
- Strategic clinical leadership and executive presence
- Data-driven decision making and structured performance management approach
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team-oriented culture
- Refined written and verbal communication skills
- Strong customer service orientation
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to multi-task and manage multiple programs and events
- Advanced computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
