About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for fast, reliable, and secure application delivery
- Automate infrastructure and server configuration using Ansible, Terraform, or suitable tools
- Move from a fully manual setup to infrastructure and configuration managed as documented code
- Monitor and troubleshoot day-to-day issues across servers and applications
- Design and implement DevOps improvements, including secrets management and container deployment workflows
- Collaborate with developers to improve tooling for development and test environments
- Keep infrastructure and applications updated and secure
- Automate manual processes to reduce maintenance effort and overhead
- Keep Intempus systems running smoothly around the clock for more than 80,000 daily users
- Work as part of a four-person DevOps team
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- At least 7 years of experience in a DevOps role or similar, such as System Administrator
- At least 2 years of experience managing Linux systems
- Experience with Debian-based Linux
- Bash scripting and comfort working in a bash shell
- Experience building, testing, deploying, and maintaining Docker containerized applications in production
- Experience with a programming language; Python is used in the CI/CD pipeline and automation
- Experience with git
- Experience with a CI/CD tool such as GitHub Actions or Jenkins
- Experience with an infrastructure-as-code tool, ideally Terraform
- Experience with a configuration management tool, ideally Ansible
- Experience with container orchestration such as Kubernetes or HashiCorp Nomad
- Ability to communicate clearly in writing and in person
