About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Run competitive audits across search visibility, AI engine visibility, messaging, content, and paid social
- Conduct desk research on markets, buyers, and competitors and structure actionable findings
- Build content audits and inventories and score existing content against campaign briefs
- Compile audience and persona research from primary and secondary sources
- Prepare inputs for messaging and positioning frameworks and draft first passes for senior review
- Support campaign concept development across the GTM flywheel, from market intelligence through measurement
- Read briefs, statements of work, and RFPs and summarize requirements
- Use AI agent tools daily for research synthesis, brief analysis, competitive audits, and content scoring
- Build client-ready decks, documents, and workbooks
- Attend client strategy sessions, capture key information, and deliver follow-up the same week
- Fact-check and source-verify claims and figures
- Maintain current client context files and research
- Progressively take on greater responsibility for strategy direction under the Director of Strategy
Requirements
What you’ll need- 4-5 years in marketing strategy, research, or planning, ideally agency-side
- Demonstrable research ability: ability to take an ambiguous question and return with a structured, sourced answer
- Exposure to B2B or technology marketing and clear intent to build a career in it
- Strong writing ability to turn analysis into a client-ready report
- Ability to run several workstreams simultaneously while maintaining accuracy
- Comfortable adopting and integrating AI tools into daily work
- Detail-first approach: checking figures, sources, and spelling
- Comfort with ambiguity and a fast-moving, remote-first environment
- Direct experience in B2B technology, channel or partner marketing, or ABM (nice-to-have)
- Familiarity with SEO, GEO, and content performance tools such as Semrush, Ahrefs, or Screaming Frog (nice-to-have)
- Experience building competitive or content audits at scale (nice-to-have)
- Experience working with AI or machine learning tools and platforms (nice-to-have)
