About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Take responsibility for the reliable operation and continuous development of the internal IT environment
- Manage user accounts, PCs, laptops, Microsoft 365, Teams, telephony, as well as access rights and permissions
- Jointly operate and further develop the heterogeneous IT landscape, with a particular focus on Microsoft and Windows infrastructure
- Administer Windows servers and clients, Active Directory, Entra ID, Microsoft 365, Exchange, Intune, Teams, SharePoint, Dynamics, and related services
- Manage end-user devices throughout their entire lifecycle, from selection and procurement through setup, software deployment, and updates to retirement
- Analyze incidents and problems and coordinate their resolution
- Collaborate with fellow administrators, the DevOps team, and other technical stakeholders
- Actively help shape the IT infrastructure and independently further develop existing solutions, processes, and standards
- Automate recurring administrative tasks
- Monitor and initiate necessary measures relating to permissions, security, updates, backups, monitoring, licenses, and system lifecycles
- Maintain clear, traceable, and up-to-date documentation of systems, configurations, and operational processes
Requirements
What you’ll need- Completed vocational training in IT, such as IT Specialist for System Integration, a relevant degree, or an equivalent qualification
- Several years of professional experience administering and supporting enterprise IT infrastructures
- Extensive hands-on experience in the Microsoft ecosystem, particularly in several of the following areas: Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Exchange, Intune, Teams, or SharePoint
- Experience administering Windows clients
- Experience with endpoint management, software deployment, patch management, or comparable tasks
- Solid understanding of networks, firewalls, VPNs, virtualization, backup, and the fundamental interrelationships of modern IT infrastructures
- Experience with PowerShell or other tools for automating administrative processes
- Very good German language skills (native-level German or at least CEFR level C)
- Good command of English
- Ability to prioritize independently and work with a high degree of personal responsibility
- Willingness to collaborate with specialists and technical teams
- Ability to explain technical concepts clearly and understandably
- Open-minded, communicative, and team-oriented
- Commitment to continuous professional development and an interest in new technologies
