About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop high-performance, accessible web applications for pricing, inventory, and availability processes
- Build modern frontends with TypeScript and React/Preact
- Continuously enhance business applications
- Develop features end to end, from the user interface through backend services and APIs
- Develop applications for price maintenance, inventory reporting, transparency, and data-driven recommendations
- Develop and integrate reliable, scalable services for pricing and inventory data
- Work with event-driven data flows and Apache Kafka
- Collaborate closely with UX and Product Design teams and further develop the Design System and Component Library
- Ensure high software quality and stability through automated testing, code reviews, monitoring, and observability
- Contribute to architecture and technology decisions and further develop shared engineering standards
- Use modern AI-assisted development tools and contribute ideas for making development processes more efficient
Requirements
What you’ll need- Several years of experience in frontend or full-stack development
- Excellent knowledge of TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
- Experience with a modern frontend framework, ideally React or Preact
- Good knowledge of backend development, for example with Java or Kotlin
- Experience with APIs, distributed systems, and modern software architectures
- Experience with automated testing, for example with Jest, Vitest, or comparable tools
- Experience with AWS or a comparable cloud platform
- Knowledge of SQL and/or NoSQL databases
- Understanding of CI/CD, monitoring, and observability
- Independent, analytical, and team-oriented approach to work
- German at least at B2 level and confident English skills
- Nice to have: Experience with Apache Kafka or comparable event technologies
- Nice to have: Knowledge of pricing, inventory, or marketplace systems
- Nice to have: Experience with Design Systems, Component Libraries, or Storybook
- Nice to have: Knowledge of micro-frontends or self-contained systems
- Nice to have: Experience with Infrastructure as Code, for example Pulumi or Terraform
- Nice to have: Knowledge of accessibility / WCAG
- Nice to have: Experience in e-commerce, marketplace, or platform environments
