About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Supervise and coordinate Team Leaders and Assembly Technicians engaged in the assembly process to meet production requirements
  • Coordinate assembly requirements and priorities with the Production Manager and Customer Service Manager
  • Assign team members to assembly jobs according to the production schedule
  • Train team leaders in work methods and procedures
  • Inspect production areas to ensure assembled parts and components conform to procedures
  • Ensure paperwork is completed accurately
  • Ensure parts, components, and materials are accurately logged out from and into the warehouse
  • Account for assembly efficiency rates
  • Coordinate equipment repairs with the Process Engineer
  • Coordinate actions addressing quality concerns with the Production Manager and Quality Manager
  • Participate in production and supervisor meetings
  • Coordinate staffing requirements with the Production Manager and Human Resources Manager or designee
  • Help develop effective training programs
  • Ensure team members follow policies and procedures
  • Communicate team member issues and absences to Human Resources
  • Issue disciplinary actions as necessary
  • Maintain a neat and orderly production work area
  • Participate in employee training meetings
  • Maintain personal and team member training records
  • Perform other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor or designee

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred; or demonstrated good leadership and communication skills
  • Ability and comfortability with issuing disciplinary action
  • Consistency, consistent expectations of team members, accountability
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Must be able to sit, stand, and/or walk for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds
  • Company provided smock and hairnet mandatory in all controlled production areas
